Wally graduated from Ryerson University, has lectured on taxation at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as various Universities and has made presentations at numerous business seminars and conferences.  Wally’s extensive background in taxation and finance as well as his keen business sense rivals his flair for the imaginative and unconventional. 

Wally started his career with Arthur Andersen making him a Deloitte Alumnus and has been a partner with EvansMartin since 1982.  He originally organized the firm’s tax practice with particular attention to corporate reorganizations, domestic and international tax, scientific research and experimental development claims and estate planning.  These roots provided him invaluable tools to develop the firm’s estate administration and corporate consulting areas.  He works closely with owner managers and entrepreneurs and is considered a business mentor.

Wally is active as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a number of private and publicly traded companies utilizing his skills in finance, tax and administration.  These financial management roles have allowed him to further develop his expertise with corporate reporting, raising capital and corporate acquisitions. 

Wally’s community involvement is varied.  He has been active as CFO for various senior political candidates, is a director and treasurer for the Toronto Polo Club and was an executive director for the Brampton Minor Baseball and Brampton Minor Hockey Associations.  He is a past president of the Brampton Board of Trade and founded and organized Brampton In Line Hockey Association Inc., Brampton In Line Radicals, and the Brampton Nationals Junior A roller hockey clubs.

Wally plays polo, hockey, golf, squash and enjoys skiing.  He is an avid motorcyclist and generally enjoys adventures.  Wally is passionate in everything he is involved with and believes active bodies build active and imaginative minds.
