Shiraz was awarded a B. Comm. with High Distinction from the University of Toronto and
qualified as a CA in 1982. Practicing as a partner in public accounting since 1990.

Shiraz joined EvansMartin in 2006. He has specialized exclusively in providing business
and tax advice, consulting and assurance services to clients, consisting of both private
and public entities. Through his close involvement with various entrepreneurs and family-owned enterprises, he built expertise, insight and skills honed through more than
two decades of diversified business experience. His education and experience were influenced and shaped by a multitude of new ventures, business models, achievements and success stories. His mission and values reflect a client-centred focus, a spirit of collaborative sparring and a merit-based culture of continuous learning.

Continuing a tradition from his university days, Shiraz strives to balance his academic
and professional career with honorary contribution of time and knowledge to his community in the spirit of voluntary service. To this end he has continued serving in various capacities in charitable, faith-based institutions that promote capacity building, professionalism and rigorous governance standards in the delivery of social, cultural and financial assistance worldwide. The pluralistic and dispersed origins of his community are also reflected in his personal network.

Currently, Shiraz enjoys the diversity and excitement of a challenging cross-section of
business entities and professional engagements, ranging from start-up ventures to larger
corporations operating around the globe. The breadth of his industry expertise includes
information technology, software research and development, transportation, distribution,
real estate, wealth management, films and the not-for-profit sector.
